William P. (Buddy) Nelson was born in Kansas City, Missouri and raised in Greenville, South Carolina and Birmingham, Alabama. Buddy is a graduate of Mountain Brook High School, Samford University, and Southern Seminary. He has served in the following churches: First Baptist Birmingham as youth minister, Liberty Baptist Church in Leitchfield, Kentucky as pastor, First Baptist Oxford, Alabama as pastor, Riverchase Baptist in Hoover, Alabama as pastor and has been at First Baptist McClellan since May of 2002. Buddy, a pastor's son, married Becky Bowles of Texas, who happens to be a pastor's daughter. Together they have two children, Bill and Brook, and a wonderful granddaughter Madelyn.

Alan has served various churches in the past in a variety of positions. His talent and love for people shines through as he leads us in worship. With an in-depth understanding of church music as well as people, he brings a large piece of the Sunday Morning experience to life. Alan also serves as the Band Director at Alexandria High School. When he is not involved in music, Alan can be found in his garage restoring one of his horseless carriage beauties. His wife Tawana and daughters Alaina and Amber contribute a great deal to our church, especially within the music program.

Mary is from the great state of Ohio, but she has been in the South long enough to understand true Southern Hospitality. She feels that her position is one of ministry and service to the Lord. First Baptist McClellan is very fortunate to have Mary in this vital position. She is a graduate of Carlisle High School and is currently pursuing her Bachelor's Degree in Business online.

She is married to Buster Turner. They have 3 children: Chad, Brandi, and Kyle and 2 grandchildren: Brandalyn & Bryant Denny and another one due in December. Mary is a certified Ministry Assistant and has been a church secretary for 13 years. Mary has worked with all ages, from preschool through college-age, and is serving as a Minister to Youth with us now as well.
